Derzhavin University ice skating rink hosted the first phygital hockey tournament in the region, “Derzhava Game’s“. Four teams from Tambov competed for the title of the tournament winner:
“Derzhava”, “Avangard”, “Polar Bears” and “USHL”. First, the rivals fought in virtual NHL hockey on PS4, and then took to the ice and earned points in 3x3 hockey. The winners of the competition were the hosts of the tournament - "Derzhava".
– There are a lot of impressions and emotions from phygital hockey, all of them are extremely positive. This format is very interesting, many of us have never taken part in physical competitions,” says HC Derzhava forward Vladislav Levchenko. – I would like to note the organization of the tournament, everything went at the highest level. I would be happy to take part in similar competitions. And such anopp ortunity will present itself. In November, the organizers plan to hold a phygital hockey tournament with a team from Saransk.
Derzhavin University has already held phygital competitions. A phygital basketball tournament was held in February, and a phygital football tournament in April. In addition, Football Club Derzhava players took part in the federal qualifying tournament for phygital football in Volgograd in April. The Derzhavin team then took 3rd-4th place.
