Derzhavin University hosted an international student summit, "Educational Environment for Intercultural Dialogue." The event served as a key discussion and project platform for the integration of international students and the development of intercultural competencies.
The summit opened with an introductory session and teambuilding training. Welcoming remarks were given by Derzhavin University Rector Pavel Moiseyev, Director of the Department of International Relations Sergey Khudyakov, and Acting Director of the Institute of Medicine and Health Preservation Nikolay Denisov.
The highlight of the event was the inauguration ceremony of the presidents and representatives of the Council of International Student Associations, bringing together talented leaders. This symbolic event highlights the power of unity and the spirit of partnership, bringing together representatives of unique cultural communities from India, Morocco, Algeria, Turkmenistan, Tunisia, China, Tajikistan, Jordan, Gabon, South Africa, and many other countries.
The key content of the first day was the session "Fundamentals of Successful Intercultural Communication," moderated by Ruzanna Ivanyan, PhD in Political Science and Associate Professor at St. Petersburg State University of Service and Economics.
The second day of the program was dedicated to project work and took place as an off-site session at the university's Galdym recreation center. Participants progressed from generating ideas to developing specific project solutions. The project presentations culminated in the program's second day.
