A major component of the regional Science Festival NAUKA 0+ is a week-long exhibition of student research clubs, centres, and labs at Derzhavin University.
First-year students are introduced to the activity of scientific societies and their involvement in federal and regional contests and projects by representatives of Derzhavin University's Student Scientific Society (SSS). Young scientists and representatives from every department at Derzhavin University are taking part in this event.
"Our university has an active SSS, and productive research clubs of different areas," says Lev Synkov, Chairman of the SSS of the Institute of Medicine and Health Preservation. "The week of presentations of student research clubs is an opportunity to present our activities to first-year students in a diverse way and engage them in scientific work, thereby successfully building their individual development trajectory." We live in the age of rapid scientific advancement and innovative technologies, so it's crucial to expand scientific knowledge, analytical thinking, and research.
In addition to presenting the activities of associations and centres, student researchers conduct open lessons, workshops, and educational intensives for first-year students, introducing them to the specifics of their future profession. Students also share their research experience and help first-year students start up in the world of science.
