The results of the International Ranking of Green Universities 2024 – UI Green Metric World University Ranking have been published. The ranking involved 1,477 universities from 95 countries. Derzhavin University took 337th place, improving its position compared to 2023. Among 50 participating universities from Russia, Derzhavin University took 9th place. Rector Pavel Moiseev noted that sustainable development and scientific contribution to solving environmental problems are one of the most important priorities of the University.
The UI Green Metric ranking has been compiled by the University of Indonesia since 2010. The goal is to attract the attention of the academic community to solving many environmental problems and implementing sustainable environmental development policies. The developers took into account six criteria for assessing the university's activities: the convenience of infrastructure, transportation policy, waste recycling programs, the use of energy-efficient technologies, water conservation, as well as education and research in the field of sustainable development.
