The results of the 2025 UI GreenMetric World University Ranking have been published. 1,745 universities from 105 countries participated. Derzhavin University ranked 332nd, improving its position compared to 2024. Among the 50 participating universities from Russia, Derzhavin University ranked 9th.
According to Rector Pavel Moiseev, sustainable development and scientific contributions to solving environmental problems are among the university's most important priorities.
The UI Green Metric ranking has been compiled by the University of Indonesia since 2010. Its goal is to draw the attention of the academic community to addressing numerous environmental issues and implementing sustainable development policies. The developers considered six criteria for evaluating the university's performance: infrastructure convenience, transportation policy, waste recycling programs, the use of energy-efficient technologies, water conservation, and education and research in the field of sustainable development.
