Derzhavin Tambov State University took an active part in the Open Gastronomic Festival of Artisan Cheese "PROsyr. PritambovieFEST", which was held in the village of Streltsy in the Tambov Municipal District. The event brought together cheese makers, farmers and guests from all over Russia, becoming a platform for exchanging experience, getting to know the best regional products and for a cultural dialogue.
Particular attention of visitors was attracted by the sites organized by international students of Derzhavin university. Representatives of China, India, Egypt and Angola prepared an exciting cultural program reflecting the national traditions of their countries.
- The participation of international students became a real decoration of the Festival and gave it an atmosphere of friendship, cultural diversity and mutual understanding, - comments the rector of Derzhavin University Pavel Moiseev. – Their contribution not only decorated the event, but also emphasized the region’s openness to intercultural dialogue.
Festival guests were happy to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the East, trying themselves in the art of Arabic, Chinese and Indian calligraphy, decorating their hands with exquisite mehndi patterns, and also receiving original African braids made by masters from among TSU students. Improvised master classes in writing, designing traditional ornaments, weaving and stories about the meaning of national symbols generated an extensive interest.
The Festival “PROsyr. PritambovieFEST” became not only a gastronomic celebration, but also a significant event in the life of the region, strengthening ties between cultures, generations and professional communities.
