Last week the regular annual report of the Russian Council on International Affairs “Electronic Internationalization of Russian Universities” was published, in which the Derzhavin University Internet resources were again highly appreciated as internationally oriented.
Compared to last year's rating, in which the University was also present in solid positions, the current report evaluated not only the English-language version but also the Russian version of the website. In addition, for the first time, the visual component of university portals was taken into account, which is largely due to the growing degree of digitalization in the lives of modern youth.
This year, Derzhavin University was included in the second leading group. The authors of the report highly rated the English-language version of the University's website (next to it are St. Petersburg State University and MEPhI, below it are Voronezh State University, Kazan and Baltic Federal Universities). The main, Russian-language version of the website as a tool for attracting foreign applicants who speak Russian was also noted as high-quality (next to it are again MEPhI, Southern and North-Eastern Federal Universities, below it are Kazan and North Caucasian Federal Universities, Lobachevsky University of Nizhny Novgorod, etc.). RIAC experts especially noted the balance between the two language versions of the university's website.
- An important part of our international work is a systematic approach to our online presence. For several years in a row we have been included in the RIAC report on electronic digitalization of Russian universities and we always listen to expert recommendations. This helps us to improve our image and creates a comfortable communication environment not only for our future applicants, but also for potential partners from abroad, - says Rector of Derzhavin University Pavel Moiseev.
RIAC is one of the leading analytical centers in our country in the study of international relations, public and scientific diplomacy. Its expertise is in demand by the Russian government, Russian and foreign business, and the academic community. The Chairman of the RIAC Board of Trustees is Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, and the President of RIAC is former Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov.
