As part of an official visit to the Tambov region, a delegation from the Samarkand region of the Republic of Uzbekistan visited Derzhavin University. The Uzbek delegation included the assistant of the khokim for the development of local industry Nozir Ibragimov and the leading specialist of the khokimiyat Botir Bakhtierov.
At the round table “Current issues of international cooperation of Derzhavin Tambov State University and the Samarkand region of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, the rector of the university Pavel Moiseev and representatives of the Government of the Tambov region discussed the prospects of joint projects with the Uzbek guests. Moreover, various issues in the field of education, history, archeology, agriculture, promotion of the Russian language and Russian culture in the Republic of Uzbekistan were discussed by the partners.
“In April a delegation of Derzhavin University visited the Republic of Uzbekistan,” comments Pavel Moiseev. – “I headed the delegation and took part in official meetings with heads of government agencies and universities.
