A cross-university review is underway at Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin. Its goal is to provide an independent and objective assessment of the implementation of the university's development program as a participant in the "Priority-2030" strategic academic leadership program.
During the review, experts from the Federal State Agrarian University "Sociocenter" Galina Evtina, Leysan Dogadina, Sergey Shestakov, and Konstantin Yantsen, together with Derzhavin University's project teams consisting of vice-rectors, heads of strategic technology projects, faculty, students, and representatives of industrial partners, focused on analyzing the results and prospects of the university's activities in terms of alignment with strategic objectives and the target vision of the future.
The teams presented their visions in detail across five key tracks: "University Development Management System," "Research Policy and Innovation," "Strategic Technology Project," "Human Capital Development Policy," and "Educational Policy." Each track included a detailed analysis of achievements, challenges, and prospects. The analysis focused on refining the university's target model and its performance indicators, as well as developing a roadmap for overcoming barriers arising in the implementation of the Development Program.
"Participating in project-analytical sessions is nothing new for us, but the unique format of cross-university review gives us an excellent opportunity to evaluate each other. We are open to the knowledge of our colleagues from other universities on Priority 2030 and are ready to share our experiences," notes Pavel Moiseev, Rector of Derzhavin University. Together, we will discuss our strategic priorities: transforming education to meet the demands of a promising labor market, the ambitious goal of transforming Derzhavin University into an internationally oriented public diplomacy university capable of admitting up to 30% of international students, as well as our scientific and technological projects in the field of the circular economy. I am confident that the review will serve as a trigger for engaging the entire team in the university's development and addressing its strategic objectives. It will help us identify strengths and weaknesses, clarify the transformation trajectory, and, most importantly, develop measures to increase our contribution to the country's technological leadership.
The cross-university review is a unique format for joint peer evaluation of universities. Its primary goal is to ensure an independent and objective assessment of the implementation of development programs at universities participating in the Priority 2030 program.
The key objectives of the review are peer-to-peer evaluation of university development plans, identifying best practices, increasing the transparency of expert activities, and developing a university expert community.
