Chairman of the educational group "Dingcheng" Zhang Xuegong and head of the Eurasian Association of Education, Science and Culture Feng Baoze have visited Derzhavin University.
The parties held a round table "Implementation of Educational Programs of TSU named after G.R. Derzhavin for Chinese Citizens". They discussed in detail the strategy for recruiting Chinese applicants to the university's educational programs developed specifically for students from the PRC - "Management" and "Language and Intercultural Communication in Tourism". In addition, they agreed to attract Chinese schoolchildren to the university's summer camps to study an intensive course of the Russian language, get acquainted with Russian culture and to implement joint educational programs. The Chinese side showed interest in training Chinese young people in the Dentistry program. Despite the short-term cooperation with Dingcheng, which began in 2024, the effect has been significant: more than 60 Chinese citizens have already completed their studies at the preparatory faculty of Tambov State University, and more than 30 people will begin their studies in the 2025-2026 academic year.
- The visit of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov to China has just ended, - comments Rector Pavel Moiseev. - One of the key results of the visit was a joint decision on various interactions with Chinese universities and scientific organizations. Derzhavin Tambov State University is making a significant contribution to building up contacts with Chinese partners. Our agreements with partner universities from China provide for exchanges of teachers and students, which have become a very lively and promising practice. We are currently working to raise the quality of our contacts with Chinese educational institutions to a new level, and the visit of two Chinese colleagues is aimed at this. Our plans are ambitious. The first Chinese university with which TSU established partnership relations back in 1997 was Qingdao University. We now have dozens of such partners in China. At the same time, a sign of the stability and strength of our prospects is that in September 2017 we were visited by a delegation from Qingdao University headed by Rector Fan Yuejin, and our agreement was updated. China and Russia are close friends, we continue the traditions of Russian-Chinese relations and count on further cooperation.
