For two years Derzhavin University has been implementing the federal project “Digital Department”. This year more than a thousand students at our university began training in digital competencies.
Training is provided in the following areas: web development and internet marketing, network and system administration, development and management of information resources on the Internet, basics of 1C development, programming in Python, databases and DBMS, basics of working with big data, digital technologies in healthcare. Classes for students are taught by Derzhavin lectures, employees of organizations in the real sector of the economy, and practical experts. Derzhavin University signed a cooperation agreement with many large IT companies in the region. An important part of teaching students is the development of digital solutions for specific problems in the fields of education, economics, healthcare, and law. On April 17 Derzhavin University will share successful practices at the full-time stage of the “Digital Departments Marathon”, which will be held from March 29 to April 19. The “Digital Departments” project was launched in 2022 and is being implemented as part of the federal project “Development of Human Resources in the IT Industry” of the national project “Digital Economy”. “Digital departments” has been opened in 119 universities of the country. In total, more than 800 educational retraining programs in IT areas have been developed.
