On August 23-25, the traditional folklore festival Atmanovskie Kulachki was held in the Sosnovsky Municipal District. Atmanovskie Kulachki was the first sports event included in the register of objects of intangible cultural heritage of the peoples of Russia. What is more, it was included in the top 200 best Russian festivals and holidays. Today, Atmanovskie Kulachki is the main Russian sports event which includes competitions in the Russian ethno sports, such as Russian wall, kila, wrestling Za Vorotok, gorodki, etc.
– The University is a co-organizer of the Atmanovskie Kulachki-2024, – comments Rector Pavel Moiseyev. – We provide organizational support, and Derzhavin University volunteers are active assistants to the organizers of the competitions. Our student athletes, including international students, are participants in some combat sports. I am watching all this with interest. Even our guests - teachers from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan who are taking part in the cultural and educational project “School of the Russian Language and Russian Folk Culture”, attended the festival.
