– The forum considered the pressing problems facing the country – birth rate, health and demographic behavior of the population, – Olga Medvedeva comments. – The ways to solve them are planned to be enshrined in the Strategy of Family and Demographic Policy and Increasing the Number of Large Families by 2036. I took part in the meeting of the Educational and Methodological Board “Demography”, in the discussions of the section “Family and Birth Rate”, the round table “Protection of the Rights of Young Children in Single-Parent Families” and the scientific and methodological school on demography.
Derzhavin University is actively involved in the demographic agenda. The university has become the operator of the All-Russian competition "Help Mom Study". In a practical sense, much is being done for the families of student and young teachers: a multifunctional center, a mother and child room have been created, a rental house for students is being built taking into account the needs of young families. In addition, a team of university scientists, together with the Government of the Tambov Region, is implementing an initiative research project "Assessment and analytical support for adjusting regional demographic policy in order to increase the birth rate."
