Derzhavin University has become the only state institution in the region that administers exams in Russian as a Foreign Language, Russian History and the Fundamentals of Russian Legislation for foreign citizens and stateless persons.
Since December 10, 2024, certified employees of Derzhavin University have been administering exams at two regional sites: the Faculty of Philology and Linguistics of Derzhavin University and the Branch of the Passport and Visa Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Tambov Region.
The examination procedure is changing. For example, it is prohibited to give foreign citizens the same version of test assignments if they have previously failed the exam. During testing, foreigners are not allowed to use a telephone, audio and video equipment, or reference materials. If violations are detected, the exam results are annulled.
In addition, the exam will be fully video recorded.
In addition, the registration number of the certificate of proficiency in Russian, knowledge of Russian history and the fundamentals of legislation will be obtained through the federal information system of the register of documents on education and qualifications. The range of information entered into the information base will be expanded. Thus, the list of personal data will include the date of birth, citizenship, series and number of the identity document of the foreign citizen who received the certificate.
