The Alliance of Chinese-Russian Language Education Universities, created in May of this year on the initiative of Moscow State Linguistic University and Heilongjiang University, unites more than 60 universities of the two countries. Its goal is the comprehensive development of cooperation between universities in the field of education, culture and other humanitarian areas, the creation of a single platform for the exchange of scientific resources, as well as the dissemination of Chinese and Russian cultures. For Derzhavin University, joining the Alliance means expanding international ties, strengthening its position in the educational market of the PRC and more opportunities for students and teachers who study Chinese language, culture and, and modern China in general.
– We have become part of a large network of universities that train top-ranking specialists in the field of language education and develop humanitarian exchanges and cooperation, – says Pavel Moiseev, Rector of Derzhavin University. – I would like to note that one of the initiators of the Alliance was Heilongjiang University, a long-standing and reliable partner of Derzhavin University. I am sure that now learning Chinese in Tambov will become easier for everyone who wants to do it or is already studying it like me.
Joining the Alliance was the first event within the framework of “China Week in Tambov”. This year it is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the establishment of Russian-Chinese diplomatic relations.
