The opening ceremony of the 6th Youth Forum "Galdym - Territory of Art" took place at Derzhavin University. The Forum is held annually under the network educational program between Derzhavin University and the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts - GITIS. This year, the Forum is held from September 16 to September 26 at the Galdym Recreation Center.
The goal of the Forum is to support young talents, create conditions for their professional and creative growth, strengthen cultural ties and develop creative initiatives among students.
Traditionally, Derzhavin University students majoring in the "Art of Acting" and GITIS students take part in the Forum.
During the week, the students will attend educational and creative intensive courses, master classes in stage speech, acting and stage movement. The forum will end with a competitive showing of theatrical productions on the stage of the Derzhavin University Educational Theater. Students of the two universities will present their productions based on the works of famous Soviet playwrights Alexey Arbuzov and Mikhail Roshchin.
Participation of Derzhavin University in the Priority-2030 strategic academic leadership program allows us to attract famous GITIS professors as experts to conduct master classes and trainings. This year, among the experts of the Forum are Oleg Volyntsev, Associate Professor of the GITIS Department of Stage Movement, Natalya Goltapina, Senior Lecturer of the GITIS Department of Stage Speech, Ivan Derendyaev, Acting Technique Instructor at the Children's Studio of the N.I. Sats Moscow State Academic Theatre of Drama and Theatre, and Irina Krugman, Lecturer of the Administering Sub-Department of Sound Drama of the Faculty of New Areas of Performing Arts at GITIS.
