Derzhavin University took part in the 27th International Exhibition of Chemical Industry and Science "Chemistry-2024". About 500 companies from Russia, the Republic of Belarus, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Turkey, and Uzbekistan participated in this year's exhibition, which was held from October 21 to 24 in Moscow at the Expocentre. The delegation of Derzhavin University was headed by Vice-Rector for Research Alexander Gusev.
"Derzhavin University traditionally sends its representatives to the exhibition to get acquainted with advanced chemical developments, present its achievements, and develop partnerships," says Alexander Gusev, Vice-Rector for Research of Derzhavin University. "The development of new technologies in the field of construction and special chemistry, as well as the training of personnel for the chemical industry are the most important tasks of the university's strategic project "New Chemical Materials and Technologies" under the Priority-2030 program. To this end, we develop partnerships and scientific cooperation both in Russia and abroad.
The university's new partner, the Polyplast Group of Companies, invited the Derzhavin University delegation to its stand to discuss cooperation. The Polyplast Group of Companies is the largest manufacturing holding in Russia specializing in the production of high-tech chemical products of its own design for various industries. For the first time, it presented a new Russian product of its own design, which has no analogues on the domestic market - high-molecular thermostable polymers. A month ago, during the NAUKA 0+ Science Festival in the Tambov Region, representatives of Derzhavin University discussed the transformation of the educational program in chemistry with colleagues from Polyplast. At the exhibition, they agreed to cooperate in the field of training personnel for the holding's enterprises, as well as to conduct joint scientific developments.
During the business program, negotiations were held with a representative of F&MA LLC, the only manufacturer of phenol-formaldehyde resins in the Republic of Kazakhstan. As a result, the Center for Advanced Chemical Technologies of Derzhavin University will develop new technological solutions for obtaining chemical products for the new partner and with its participation.
At the Chemistry-2024 exhibition, the key industrial partner of the University in the Tambov region, Pigment JSC, presented a full range of its products. The stand demonstrated pigments and dyes, dispersions, paints and varnishes, resins and formalin, construction chemicals, and more. The University delegation discussed the results of current joint projects and prospects for new research with the company's representatives.
The International Chemistry Exhibition was first held in Moscow in 1965. Viktor Ivanov, President of the Russian Union of Chemists, emphasized that the exhibition is a place for meetings where you can exchange opinions, achievements, losses, and so on. He recalled that the Chemistry Exhibition was the first international industry exhibition in our country.
