Derzhavin University philologists represented the university at the 13th International Congress on Cognitive Linguistics. This large-scale scientific event took place at Pyatigorsk State University and brought together leading linguists from Russia, Cuba, China, Uzbekistan, and the Republic of Belarus. It was organized by the Russian Association of Cognitive Linguists, Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin, and Pyatigorsk State University.
During the discussion, participants shared their accumulated experience and current fundamental knowledge in the field of cognitive linguistics.
Dr. Nikolai Boldyrev, Professor of Philosophy at Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, and Honorary President of the Russian Association of Cognitive Linguists, spoke at the plenary session of the congress.
The Tambov scientific school was also widely represented at the congress. In addition to the school's founder, Professor Nikolai Boldyrev, his students and colleagues—teachers and scientists from Derzhavin University—presented their papers: Doctor of Philosophy and Professor Lyudmila Babina, Candidate of Philosophy and Associate Professor Ekaterina Dubovitskaya, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences and Associate Professor Anna Kashcheeva, Candidate of Philosophy and Associate Professor Elena Kozlova, Candidate of Philosophy and Associate Professor Elena Kuzmina, Candidate of Philosophy and Associate Professor Natalia Kuksova, and Candidate of Philosophy and Associate Professor Ekaterina Ryabykh.
