Happy Russian Science Day, friends!
On this day, we honor all those for whom science is a calling and a profession. Science at Derzhavin University is an integral part of Russian and global science. We are proud of both the university's established scientific schools and its emerging research areas. All of them strive to contribute to solving fundamental and practical problems relevant to the second quarter of the 21st century.
I would like to express my gratitude and congratulations to the entire Derzhavin academic community – both those widely known beyond the university and those just taking their first steps in the student research communities of their institutes and faculties. Supporting scientific research is one of Derzhavin's development priorities. We strive to maintain an atmosphere of scientific creativity that stimulates exploration and new discoveries.
Science at Derzhavin university is opening up new horizons. Extensive opportunities have been created thanks to the expansion of our research infrastructure and research focus, particularly in areas focused on practical economic needs and the achievement of Russia's technological sovereignty. The significance of Derzhavin's research for the technological development and innovative appeal of the Tambov Region has grown. New partnerships are being established with researchers from the People's Republic of China, post-Soviet countries, and Africa. There are prospects for scientific collaborations with Latin American countries. So, we can literally speak of new horizons.
Most of our university's scientists are active faculty members, supervising the training of graduate and doctoral students. This is invaluable, because engaging in research means providing students with a modern, high-quality education.
I wish all Derzhavin's scientists new discoveries, the full realization of their creative potential, and continued support and recognition from their colleagues and our society at large!
