Representatives of Derzhavin University took part in the international symposium "Advanced Materials and Technologies." The scientific event took place at the Institute of Technical Acoustics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and brought together approximately 200 experts and researchers from Belarus, Russia, and neighboring countries.
Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin was represented at the forum by specialists from the Scientific and Educational Center "Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology": Vyacheslav Rodayev, PhD, Associate Professor; Alexander Samodurov, Acting Director of the Scientific and Educational Center, PhD, Associate Professor; and Alexander Tyurin, PhD, Associate Professor.
The symposium provided a platform for discussing current trends in materials science, condensed matter physics, and applied research. Participants focused on the processes of structural change and deformation under the influence of external fields (acoustic, electrical, and magnetic), as well as the study of functional materials with shape memory. Participants examined the latest synthesis methods, modern methods for studying crystals, nanostructures, and composite coatings.
As part of the forum's extensive program, Vyacheslav Rodayev presented a paper highlighting methods for increasing the strength of ice by introducing hydrophilic nanoparticles into its structure.
Alexander Samodurov shared the results of his research on mapping the physical and mechanical properties of end-cut softwood. The use of the scratch test method provided valuable insights for the development of dendrochronology and dendroclimatology.
Alexander Tyurin presented a new approach to dendrochronology and multiscale studies of the formation of the physical and mechanical properties of wood from the nanoscale to the macroscale. In his presentation, he spoke about the application of nanoindentation and continuous digital scratching methods.
