Derzhavin University hosted the finals of the annual "Miss University 2026" beauty, grace, and talent contest.
The event was preceded by qualifying rounds held in the University's departments. Each institute and faculty nominated its candidate for the crown. This year, 13 students competed for the title.
- The Miss University contest has been a long-standing tradition at Derzhavin University for eleven years. Here, we choose not only a beautiful girl, but also an intelligent, creative, and ambitious one, - says Rector Pavel Moiseev. - This year, we had a record number of applications—over fifty from all departments. The geography of the participants expands each year. This season, for the first time, a student from the Derzhavin Lyceum joined the university and secondary vocational students.
