Faculty members of the Department of Continuing Education at the Institute of Pedagogics at Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin – PhD in Philosophy, Associate Professor Tatyana Nikolskaya and PhD in Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Mikhail Nikolsky – presented a unique exhibition at the "Dove of Peace" exhibition in Sukhum.
The Derzhavin University staff were invited by city administration representatives to participate in the celebrations marking City Day.
The exhibition featured works by Tambov artists, as well as original paintings by Professor Mikhail Nikolsky, "Abkhazia, the History of the Country" and "Sukhum and Tambov." A special place in the exhibition was given to the icon "Cathedral of Tambov and Abkhaz Saints," described by Tatyana Nikolskaya. All the works were donated to the Abkhaz people.
The event marked a significant step in strengthening cultural and spiritual ties between the Tambov region and the Republic of Abkhazia, and also confirmed the high status of Derzhavin University as a center for the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage.
