Director of the Center for Spatial Development of Territories and Quality of Life of the Population of Derzhavin University, Doctor of Economics, Professor Elena Merkulova visited the Central Asian Innovation University (Shymkent, Kazakhstan) as part of the academic mobility program. The visit is aimed at strengthening the scientific and educational partnership between the universities and participation in key international events.
At the plenary session of the conference "Current Issues of Society, Science and Education", dedicated to the memory of Academician Mardan Saparbayev, Professor Elena Merkulova gave a report "New Challenges of Spatial Development of Territories: Consequences of Demographic Transformations". The sectional discussions touched upon the topics of digitalization of education, climate change and innovations in the economy, which contributed to the exchange of experience between scientists from Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and South Korea.
During the three days of the forum, classes were held on the subject of "Anti-crisis management" for students of the Kazakh University. The program included case studies, risk management strategies and adaptation of business models in conditions of instability, which attracted great interest from the audience.
At the international economic seminar "Kazakhstan's Economy: Status and Development Trends in the Current Geopolitical Situation", Professor Elena Merkulova presented a report "Crises and Ways to Solve Them". The event brought together experts from Russia, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, which emphasized the importance of interregional dialogue in the context of global challenges.
During international cooperation with universities in Central Asia, issues of implementing joint projects were discussed, including publications in international journals, holding conferences and exchanging teaching staff.
