The 13th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia is underway in Minsk. This year's main theme is economic cooperation as the foundation for sustainable development of the Union State. A key event for Derzhavin University is the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Belarusian-Russian University, Derzhavin University's new partner university. This is another important step toward creating a unified educational and scientific space for the Union State. The new agreement opens opportunities for joint research, academic exchanges, and the implementation of interuniversity programs.
The forum program includes a plenary session and ten thematic sections aimed at strengthening cooperation between the constituent entities of the Russian Federation and the regions of the Republic of Belarus.
Derzhavin University is represented at the forum by Vice-Rector for Research Alexander Gusev. He is participating in the section dedicated to joint innovative projects to strengthen the technological sovereignty of the Union State. The section will be moderated by Grigory Karasin, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, and Sergei Aleinik, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Council of the Republic on International Affairs and National Security. Topics to be discussed include digital transformation and a unified scientific and technological space.
