Kristina Demidova, a student of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports at Derzhavin University, won silver at the 10th All-Russian Summer Universiade in Saransk.
The Derzhavin University representative competed in the 52 kg weight class. She fought two confident fights en route to the podium, one of which ended with a decisive victory.
More than 100 athletes representing 17 Russian universities participated in the boxing competition. Winners and runners-up were determined in 13 weight categories.
The athlete and her coach, Igor Galeev, praised her achievements but have no plans to stop there. Kristina is now focused on preparing for future competitions, where she intends to improve her athletic performance.
