Derzhavin University Students successfully competed in the in-person round of the Open Student Internet Olympiad, which was held at Tula State University. The competition was organized by the Research Institute for Monitoring the Quality of Education.
Following the online qualifying test, 24 Derzhavin University students advanced to the finals. The students demonstrated a high level of knowledge and skills in Russian history, Russian language, law, pedagogy, statistics, economics, physics, chemistry, and computer science.
The final round of the Olympiad brought the Derzhavin University students a set of awards of various denominations. Anna Bryleva (Russian Language) and Daria Shevchenko (Law) received gold medals. Tatyana Atamanova (Pedagogy) won silver. Sofia Glazkova (Pedagogy) and Andrey Kanishchev (Russian History) won bronze medals.
- This is my third time participating in this Olympiad: in 2023, I received a third-place diploma, last year I failed to place, and now I'm a gold medalist, - shared Daria Shevchenko, a fourth-year student majoring in law at Derzhavin University. - The qualifying round, like the in-person round, was held in a testing format. Proctoring technology was used in the final round, so I saw my results immediately after the Olympiad ended. The questions covered not only the theory of state and law, but also various fields: labor, civil, criminal, and constitutional law. It wasn't easy, but I'm glad I was able to represent my university well.
