Students of Derzhavin University are volunteers of the World Youth Festival, which will be held in Sochi from March 1 to 7. This is the largest international youth event that will unite 20 thousand participants from all over the world. The festival volunteer team includes Anastasia Dorozhkina, a 1st year student at the Institute of Law and National Security, Valentina Moldavanova, a 1st year student at the Institute of Economics, Management and Service, Maria Perova, a 1st year student at the Faculty of Philology and Journalism, and a 3rd year student at the Faculty of Philology and Journalism, Rajab Rushtiev a 3rd year student at the Medical Institute.
For more than two months volunteers were trained in specialized courses on Dobro.RF and in a full-time format. Experts from the WUF directorate conducted trainings for them on team building, immersed them in the meaning of the festival, introduced them to the infrastructure and program of the festival, the code of event volunteering, etc. Volunteers are now undergoing the final stage of training at the WUF site in Sochi. Among the tasks that volunteers will perform at WUF is assistance in holding cultural events and ceremonies, organization of meals and accommodation for guests, and coordination of their movements and activities. In addition, volunteers are responsible for interaction with the media, and accompanying national and foreign delegations. They will also work as interpreters and translators.
