On the eve of the Day of the State Flag of the Russian Federation, a patriotic race was held at the Antey sports stadium, in which students of Derzhavin University, TSTU, as well as activists of various regional youth associations took part. Participants covered a distance of 1.5 kilometers.
The race for the Day of the State Flag is held in all regions of the country. The initiator of the event is the All-Russian Student Project "Your Move". The organizers of the event in Tambov were the Government of the Tambov oblast, Derzhavin University and the All-Russian Movement "Healthy Fatherland".
Before the start of the sporting event, a ceremony of raising the Russian flag was held. – Participation in the National Flag Day race is not only a sporting event, but also a sign of respect for the symbols of our country, – notes Dmitry Kharin, mentor of the regional team of the Tvoy Khod project. – This day reminds us of unity, strength and pride for the Motherland, and the students show by their example that they value and continue the traditions of national holidays.
