The internship of Derzhavin University students at Nantong Institute of Technology is concluding. Participants in the exchange program include Lena Grigoryan, Valeria Sayapina, Sofia Yushina, Maria Gerasimchuk, and Hegine Bislamyan. The students, who are studying at Derzhavin University in various fields, are united by their love of the Chinese language and culture.
"The final chord of our internship will be passing exams, which will test how successfully and usefully we completed the training and what level of proficiency we have achieved in Chinese," said Valeria Sayapina, a second-year student majoring in Philology (International Philology).
Studying is the main, but not the only, activity for the Derzhavin University students. During their internship, the students visited various cities in China, exploring the sights and experiencing the history and culture of the Middle Kingdom. They also participated in various competitions and exhibitions, and took additional courses, including international e-commerce.
Chinese media outlets repeatedly covered the Russian students' internship, broadcasting reports on China Central Television (CCTV) and publishing articles on the website of the Chinese Embassy and Consulate in the Russian Federation.
Derzhavin Tambov State University offers favorable conditions for studying Chinese. Courses offered by the Center for Foreign Languages at Derzhavin University are in high demand among students. Derzhavin students can also complete a one- or two-semester language internship at one of our Chinese partner universities: Nantong Institute of Technology, Hubei University, or Anshan Normal University.
