Derzhavin University Students have completed their spring internship at the Fine Arts and Computer Graphics Department of P.M. Masherov Vitebsk State University.
Ksenia Popova, Victoria Solodovnikova, Natalia Chebotareva, Victoria Aleksandrova, and Elizaveta Pankova are doing courses in Design and Pedagogical Education at Derzhavin Tambov State University. The opportunity to do internship at the partner university became available under the 2022 Cooperation Agreement and the 2025 Academic Mobility Agreement.
During their month-long internship, the Derzhavin University representatives gained new knowledge in drawing and painting, participated in various university events, visited museums, and gained a better understanding of the Byelorussian cultural heritage. For example, they had the opportunity to visit the museum of the famous Vitebsk artist Marc Chagall, one of the most renowned representatives of the 20th-century avant-garde. He founded the Vitebsk City Museum and the Vitebsk Art School.
- It was interesting to learn that Vitebsk is one of the main characters in Chagall's paintings. In his autobiography, 'My Life,' the artist called it 'my sad and cheerful city.' It also turned out that Mark Zakharovich loved to look out over Vitebsk from the roof of his house, - shares Elizaveta Pankova, a Derzhavin University student. - The internship has not only given us new knowledge and professional skills, but also vivid impressions, an introduction to Belarusian culture, and warm interactions with wonderful people.
