The annual International Scientific Conference of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students, and Young Scientists “Lomonosov” was held at Lomonosov Moscow State University. Its main goals are to foster youth creativity, involve students and young researchers in addressing pressing issues in modern science, preserve and develop a unified international scientific space, and establish connections with future colleagues.
At the “Lomonosov” Forum, Derzhavin University was represented by a group of students and young researchers who are active members of the University-wide Student Scientific Society. Among them were Danila Sorokin and Stepan Orekhov (Institute of Education and Social Sciences), Stanislav Bulochnikov and Daria Shevchenko (Institute of Law and National Security), doctoral student in linguistics and linguodidactics, Ph.D., Associate Professor Maksim Evstigneev, and Pavel Sysoev, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, and Head of the Department for Research Activities and Scientific Personnel Development.
- Every year, representatives of Derzhavin’s youth science community participate in the largest scientific event of the year – the International Scientific Forum 'Lomonosov'," said Pavel Sysoev. “It’s an excellent opportunity to stay aligned with the development of youth science, discover new formats for scientific events, and establish professional contacts for joint inter-university projects aimed at the personal growth of students and young researchers. It’s also a chance to showcase our work and learn from others.
Over 21,000 participants from all Russian regions and more than 40 countries took part in the forum. Reports were presented in 44 scientific areas.
- This is the first time I participate in the ‘Lomonosov’ Forum, said Danila Sorokin, Chair of the University-wide Student Scientific Society. “At the round table ‘Neural Networks in Linguistic Research,’ I presented the results of a study conducted as part of a project by the Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Education at Derzhavin University. Our developments attracted interest from scholars at Lomonosov Moscow State University and the Pushkin State Russian Language Institute. It’s a great feeling to know that the research conducted at Derzhavin University is aligned with both the Russian and international scientific agendas and is in demand within the scientific community.
