The best students of Derzhavin University were awarded with the City Duma Scholarships at the ceremony held at the Tambov City Administration. Maxim Kosenkov, Head of the Tambov City Administration, and Elena Leonova, Chairperson of the Tambov City Duma, presented the awards to the best students of Derzhavin University.
The honorary scholarships are awarded for significant achievements in science, studies, creative work, cultural and athletic activities, as well as for active participation in Olympiads, competitions, festivals, and sporting events.
This year, five undergraduate students and two lyceum students from Derzhavin University were awarded the prestigious city awards. The E.D. Naryshkin Scholarship in Culture and Art was awarded to Olga Fomenkova from the Institute of Creative Industries, Economics, and Entrepreneurship. The recipient of the B.N. Chicherin Prize in Law and Economics was Alexander Makarov from the Institute of Creative Industries, Economics, and Entrepreneurship.
- This award is an important recognition not only of my efforts, but also of the tremendous support of my mentors at the university. It gives me confidence that my chosen area of development is promising and in demand in my hometown – said Alexander Makarov.
The N.G. Dutov Scholarship in Physical Education and Sports was awarded to Milana Klimova, Derzhavin Lyceum; Anastasia Chernikova, Faculty of Health, Rehabilitation, and Active Longevity; and Polina Stelmachenko, Faculty of Physical Education and Sports. The E.Kh. Ikavits Scholarship in Biology and Medicine was awarded to Angelina Ryazanova (Elatomtseva) from the Institute of New Technologies and Artificial Intelligence. The one-time V.N. Koval Prize for outstanding abilities in scientific research and creative work was awarded to Ilya Pereverzev, Derzhavin Lyceum student.
