Four Derzhavin University Students - Nikita Ilyin, majoring in Political Science, Angelina Yadova, Daria Shevchenko and Alina Kuprina, majoring in Law, entered the top 100 best monitors in Russia.
The "Your Move, Monitor!" competition brought together more than 12,000 participants from higher education institutions across the country. The students completed a series of competition tasks in several stages. First, the participants wrote an essay about what it means to be a monitor, then took an online test on the "Your Move" project and youth policy, mastered the "School of Monitor" course, and held "Opportunities for Youth in Russia" meetings in their groups. The final test was to create a portfolio that reflected the achievements and activity of the entire group - in studies, social projects, volunteering, as well as participation in the "Your Move" initiative and grant competitions of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs.
- Participation in the "Your Move, Monitor!" competition was a valuable experience for us and gave an incentive for further development in the field of student self-government, - says Daria Shevchenko a 3rd-year student majoring in Law. - In my essay on the topic "What does it mean to be a monitor?" I emphasized the importance of trusting relationships between the monitor and students. I believe that trust is the basis for the successful work of the monitor. Victory in this competition is not only my merit, it is the work of the entire group, and I am grateful for their responsiveness and desire to help.
The ceremonial presentation of diplomas to the finalists took place on Youth Day in Moscow. The winners of the first module received a scholarship, which will be paid for six months.
