The tablet photo exhibition "For the Glory of the Motherland, in the Name of Victory," organized as part of the cultural and educational project "G.R. Derzhavin Tambov State University Week" in the Kyrgyz Republic, moved from Bishkek to Osh and was installed at the Russian House. The exhibition's opening was timed to coincide with the international historical and patriotic event dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War, "Victory Dictation." Simultaneously, the "St. George's Ribbon" event launched at the Russian House, where participants were presented with the symbol of Victory—a reminder of the people's heroism.
The exhibition's first opening in the Kyrgyz Republic took place in March in Bishkek, in the main building of the B.N. Yeltsin Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. The exhibition is dedicated to the contribution of Tambov residents and the multinational people of the USSR to the common victory over fascism and tells the story of frontline heroes and homefront workers during the Great Patriotic War. Materials for the exhibition were prepared by Kyrgyz and Tambov historians. Derzhavin University, the Tambov Regional Government, I. Arabaev Kyrgyz State University, and the B.N. Yeltsin Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University participated in organizing the photo exhibition.
This is the third time that Derzhavin University has organized a similar tablet exhibition dedicated to the anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. "The first two were presented in Uzbekistan (in 2024) and Belarus (in 2025)," says Pavel Moiseev, Rector of Derzhavin University. "This is our contribution to preserving the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War, which is highly relevant today. Currently, attempts to distort the historical truth about the Great Patriotic War have become more frequent, and it is our duty to raise the younger generation to be true patriots and citizens with an active life position. Preserving historical memory is an important contribution each person can make to preserving cultural heritage and respecting the past, which fosters a deep understanding of the present and a positive outlook on the future."
