The annual meeting of the Alliance of Chinese-Russian Language Educational University 2024 was held at Heilongjiang University (Harbin). Leaders of the Chinese education system and representatives of more than 30 universities in China and Russia participated.
The moderator of the plenary session, Vice-Rector of Heilongjiang University Jing Liqiang, emphasized the special role of the Alliance of China-Russia Language Education University in China-Russia cooperation in language education and university exchanges. All speakers shared the same point of view.
– The expansion of cultural exchanges and cooperation in the field of education between China and Russia is a characteristic feature of the history of the development of relations between the two countries and is of great strategic importance for both countries, – comments Derzhavin University Vice-Rector Alexander Gusev. – The location of the Alliance and the conference is not accidental. Harbin, Heilongjiang Province fully utilizes their advantages of the border with the Russian Federation.
Russian universities actively use the Chinese-Russian Alliance of Linguistic Educational Universities for close inter-university cooperation between both countries. Derzhavin University also has its own interests in this regard.
– We discussed a joint program of double degrees in Russian and Chinese language education with the rector of the Second Beijing University of Foreign Studies, – explains Alexander Gusev. – We discussed programs of double degrees and internships for students and teachers with the vice-rectors of the Yangban and Guizhou Normal Universities. At the end of the conference, we voted for the Charter of the Alliance. I would also like to note that the Chinese remember with gratitude the more than 80-year history of cooperation with Russia in the field of teaching the Russian language and are ready for various types of cooperation.
