On the eve of the celebration of Russia Day and Tambov City Day, Derzhavin University volunteers were awarded with the honorary badges "Volunteer of the Year - 2025". Awards from the head of the city administration Maxim Kosenkov were received by 13 volunteers of the University, including Elena Velikanova, Nikita Ilyin, Artem Pozdnyakov, Arina Selionova, Anastasia Kostina, Grigory Vetrov, Danila Illarionov, Edgar Martirosyan, Danila Savinkov, Daria Shevchenko, Artem Sviridov, Bogdan Sotnikov and Nikolai Grishanin.
- My path in volunteering began seven years ago, when I joined a children's organization at Lyceum No. 29. Then I met like-minded people at the Assembly of Activists of the Tambov Region and began volunteering in the Union of Children's Organizations of the Region "Young Russians". That's when I realized that I wanted to help people and participate in public life, - says Arina Selionova, the holder of the "Volunteer of the Year - 2025" badge, a Derzhavin University student. - Now I am the chairman of the Council of the First at Derzhavin University. Volunteering is part of my life. I am grateful for the opportunity to help others and see the results of my work. This award is an incentive to move forward and continue to do good deeds.
The honorary badge "Volunteer of the Year", established in 2020, is a municipal award of the city of Tambov. It is awarded for significant achievements in volunteer activities and active assistance in the development of various areas of public life.
