The "Derzhavinsky" hiking club has successfully completed a Class III water expedition along the Teberda, Aksaut, and Bolshoy Zelenchuk rivers.
Water levels were lower than usual this time, significantly affecting the nature of the run. The team remained on high alert from the first day to the very end, yet despite the challenges, they completed the route successfully and according to plan.
The expedition leader—Daniil Vyatkin, a student at the Engineering and Technical Institute—played a pivotal role in this success. He guided the group confidently and made sound decisions in difficult situations.
During their free time, the "Derzhavinsky" members visited the Sentinsky Church and Baritovy Waterfall, and explored local culture and cuisine.
The club members are now preparing for a Class IV water expedition.
