Derzhavin University consistently and purposefully pursues a policy of preserving historical truth and bringing objective information about socio-political events to the world community. In April – May 2024, together with the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Lebanese Republic and Belgorod State National Research University, two projects were implemented. Derzhavin University was represented by Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Political Science, Sociology and International Processes Igor Mikhailov.
“The project “Russian information resources: facts versus fakes” is aimed at creating a positive image of Russia and countering Russophobia among the Lebanese,” comments Igor Mikhailov. – “We held online lectures and master classes at the Russian House in Beirut. The audience included students, journalists and public figures from Lebanon. They gained valuable knowledge on how to distinguish reliable information from fake news and propaganda. ”
At this time, a joint cultural and educational project was implemented, in which 400 schoolchildren and those interested in the history of the Lebanese took part. As part of the project, lectures were given and meetings were held in schools, universities and cultural centers in Lebanon.
Rossotrudnichestvo noted the high professionalism and active position of Derzhavin University in the implementation of educational and educational projects of the Russian House in Beirut.
