Future teachers of Russian as a Foreign Language defended their final theses at Derzhavin University. The course was organized by the Institute of Continuing Education and Professional Retraining in collaboration with faculty from the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language, reflecting the growing interest in studying Russian abroad and the increasing number of international students at our university. The main goal was to provide future teachers with modern tools for working with international students.
"The course program included current methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language and effective techniques for working with international students. Participants explored intercultural communication issues and practical case studies, and participated in interactive sessions," said Natalia Dorozhkina, Director of the Institute of Continuing Education and Professional Retraining. "Newly qualified specialists will be especially in demand due to the expansion of international activities at Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavina. The university is launching new exchange programs and expanding its international partnerships, making high-quality language training a key factor in its success.
