Elizaveta Kuznetsova, a graduate of Derzhavin University majoring in design, was awarded the title of best graduate designer of 2023. Elizaveta, among the best graduates, was delegated along with her graduation design project to the VI exhibition-forum of the best graduates “Excellent!” The event brought together the best graduates of the departments of architecture and design in 2023.
With the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives and the Union of Designers of Russia, for more than six years the exhibition has presented the names of the 100 best young graduates of the year who successfully completed their studies in Russia.
Participants "Excellent!" this year almost 300 people from 75 universities in the country, including citizens of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Moldova, Tajikistan, and China, became participants.
At the exhibition-forum, the best graduates of 2023 presented their diploma works in current areas of creative industries: communication, industrial, fashion design, architecture, urban planning, built environment, decorative and applied arts, information technology, advertising, public relations, cultural studies.
This year the exhibition-forum “Excellent!” took place in two stages. At the first stage, participants worked in teams, developing conceptual projects according to briefs from partner companies - developer Dominanta, exhibition of country houses Open Village, BRICS Civil Forum 2024.
At the second stage, participants presented and defended their projects in front of partners, experts and guests from the creative industries.
According to Elizaveta Kuznetsova, the exhibition-forum is not only about developing one’s own competencies and gaining experience through new acquaintances and educational programs, but also an opportunity to demonstrate one’s skills.
For more than 20 years, the Department of Design and Fine Arts od Derzhavin University has been training future specialists in such areas as design, visual,
choreographic, acting, vocals, sound engineering, musical art, and sociocultural activities.
