The Ministry of Urban Development and Architecture of the Tambov Region has issued a permit for the construction of an apartment rental building for students of Derzhavin University. Construction will begin soon. The contractor will be LLC "Megapolis".
"Construction of a rental house is a new experience for us. We have done a lot of preparatory work, and will begin its construction in the near future,” emphasized the head of the Tambov region, Maxim Egorov. – To increase the attractiveness of the project, we found ways to reduce the cost of constructing a rental house - we transferred the municipal plot to the developer on preferential terms, and also approved a regional tax incentive for investors. If this project is successfully implemented, we will use the experience not only for students, but also for other categories of the population."
The total area of the 16-storey building will be 6.7 thousand square meters. It will be designed to accommodate 510 students. The construction site is the campus of Derzhavin University in the Komsomolskaya Square area.
"I am sure that such projects are the future of the development of housing infrastructure for students and young teachers,” says Rector of Derzhavin University Pavel Moiseev. – Thus, young people from 55 countries and 68 regions of Russia come to Derzhavin University to study, and the construction of a rental house will help alleviate the shortage of places for them to live. The house will become part of the university campus, where the infrastructure necessary for students has already been created. These are the swimming pool and gyms of the Sports Palace, a skating rink, a football field, a medical center, educational buildings - an environment where it will be comfortable to live, develop and study."
The house is planned to be built within two years. The project is a pilot within the framework of the implementation of the instructions of the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko for the construction of rental housing for world-class scientific, educational and scientific centers.
According to the project, the first floor of the rental building will be allocated for common areas. The rest will house 120 one- and two-room apartments. The new housing, as expected, will be equipped in accordance with modern requirements for convenience and safety.
A quadripartite agreement on the implementation of a rental project for students of Derzhavin University was signed at the “Environment for Living” forum in Tambov in August 2022. At the end of 2022, it received the status of a large-scale investment project, which made it possible to transfer a plot of 0.25 hectares for the construction of a house on preferential terms. The Tambov region has also introduced a tax incentive for owners of rental houses.
