International art plein air project has started at Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin. This is a joint project of Derzhavin University and the Uzbek-Finnish Pedagogical Institute (Republic of Uzbekistan). Its goals are to develop international inter-university academic ties and strengthen cooperation in the field of education and the socio-cultural sphere, to form a single educational space and to exchange experience in the field of art education. Students and teachers of the two universities are taking part in the plein air.
The program includes an introduction to the artistic and project activities of Derzhavin University, master classes conducted by TSU teachers, plein airs in iconic places of Tambov and the region: on the bank of the Tsna River, in the park of the Zagryazhsky-Stroganov estate and at the Galdym recreation center.
The joint work will result in the opening of a unique traveling exhibition.
The implementation of joint projects between the Derzhavin and Uzbek-Finnish Pedagogical Institute became possible after the visit of Rector Pavel Moiseev to Samarkand in April 2024, during which agreements were reached on holding inter-university art plein airs in Uzbekistan and Russia.
In October 2024, TSU teachers and students visited Uzbekistan, where they took part in master classes, plein airs, and an excursion program.
