A series of educational events for international students was held at Derzhavin University as part of the project "Get to Know Russia with Knowledge". The organizers of the track were the Center for Social Adaptation and Intercultural Communication of TSU and the Russian Society "Knowledge". More than a hundred Derzhavin University students from India, China, Egypt and other foreign countries took part.
The main goal of the project is to form a holistic understanding of the cultural, historical and scientific heritage of Russia in international students, to develop an interest in studying the Russian language, to support comfortable integration into the Russian educational and socio-cultural space. The main formats for implementing the project are lectures, master classes, quizzes, film lectures, etc.
The quiz "Discover Russia" were met with great interest by students from foreign countries. International students enthusiastically took part in the intellectual duel, tested their knowledge of Russian history, culture and the Russian language. The atmosphere of goodwill and lively communication helped the participants to get to know Russia better and to better understand the Russian national character.
The lecture "History of Russian Culture: Holidays and Traditions as a Tool for Unifying Society" attracted considerable interest from the audience. The students learned about how the most important rituals and holidays were formed, why they continue to unite people of different generations and cultures.
The summer series ended with a lecture by PhD in Political Science Sergey Nikonenko, dedicated to Russia's achievements in various spheres of life. International students learned about the country's successes in the energy and nuclear industries, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, as well as the contribution of Russian universities and scientific research to global development. The lecturer also touched on modern challenges, emphasizing the importance of Russia in the international arena.
The project "Getting to Know Russia with Knowledge" helps international students not only broaden their horizons, but also better understand the cultural and historical foundations of life in Russia, and also contributes to strengthening mutual understanding and intercultural dialogue between peoples.
– The project will be developed in the new academic year. A series of events is planned that will introduce foreign students to Russia, its culture, history and modern achievements, – noted the organizers of the educational project in Derzhavin University.
