The meeting brought together high school students, secondary vocational education graduates and their parents from Tambov, Lipetsk, Ryazan, Saratov, Penza, Astrakhan and Moscow regions.
Participants of the career guidance meeting learned about the history and structure of the University, the rules for admission in 2025, areas of study, entrance examinations, deadlines for submitting documents, targeted training, current benefits and quotas.
The children took part in master classes, a prize draw, and theme stations.
The applicants were welcomed by Nikolai Karev, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development at Derzhavin University, who wished the students success in passing their final exams and making an informed choice of priorities when entering a university.
- I was very impressed by the Open Day in Derzhavin University. There is an incredible atmosphere, friendly teachers, excellent information in the form of booklets, flyers, guides has been prepared for applicants, - says Oleg, an 11th-grader at Secondary School No. 1 (with in-depth study of individual subjects) in the city of Morshansk, Tambov Region. - I plan to enter the Institute of Law and National Security, since in the future I dream of serving in the Ministry of Internal Affairs or the Federal Penitentiary Service. Therefore, now I am trying to pay more attention to social studies and other humanitarian disciplines. Having visited Derzhavin University, I received additional motivation to prepare for entering the university.
Marina Molneva, the executive secretary of the Derzhavin University Admissions Committee, and the heads of the university’s educational departments answered the most pressing questions of future students and their parents.
- This year I am finishing the ninth grade of the school in the village of Krasnosvobodnoye, Tambov Municipal District. I intend to continue my education at Derzhavin University Lyceum in the future, as I have heard many positive reviews from my peers and their parents. In the future, I am interested in such a field of study as economics and financial management, - says applicant Polina. - In addition to high-quality education, I am attracted to Derzhavin University by its active student life and a good university campus.
The organizers of the Open Day told applicants and parents about the 2025 admission campaign: the specifics of enrollment in budget places, which this year will be carried out not on the basis of the original education document, but on the basis of an application for consent to enrollment. It will be possible to submit it through the super service only to one of the universities for the chosen specialty; about the ranking of competition lists based on the Unified State Exam scores and personal achievements of applicants.
The acceptance of documents in Derzhavin University starts on June 20.
