Delegation consisting of students from the Central Federal District universities and employees of the portal of popular scientific routes of the Central Federal District SciTravel visited Tambov. The purpose of the visit is to create a register of popular science tourism sites available for visiting in the Tambov region, and to prepare a popular science tour of the region. Thus, the Scientific Research Institute “Nanotechnologies and Nanomaterials” (Nanocenter) of Derzhavin University was included in the register of popular science tourism objects. Director of the Research Institute, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Vyacheslav Rodaev gave a tour of the Nanocenter. He spoke about modern equipment, fundamental research and the latest applied developments in the field of instrument engineering, which are being implemented at the center under the Priority 2030 program. The portal of popular scientific routes of the Central Federal District SciTravel has already noted such objects of Derzhavin University as the Research Institute of Nanotechnologies and Nanomaterials (Nanocenter), the Derzhavin Technopark and the university museums. The SciTravel project develops popular science tourism in Russia, helps to obtain more information about the achievements and prospects of Russian science, and conducts popular student science tours to the regions of the Central Federal District. The project was created with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the University Technological Entrepreneurship Platform, the Innovation Promotion Fund, the student scientific society of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov.
