A ceremonial assembly marking the Day of Knowledge took place at Derzhavin Tambov State University. The event brought together 955 learners: 572 students enrolled in secondary vocational education programs and 383 pupils from the Derzhavin Lyceum.
For first-year vocational students, this day marks the start of their professional journey, while for Lyceum pupils, it signifies a new stage of in-depth academic study that will lay a solid foundation for their future achievements.
The celebration culminated in the traditional "first bell" ceremony. The honor of ringing the bell was given to Oleg Kondakov, an eleventh-grade student at the Derzhavin Lyceum, and Maria Yasakova, a first-grade pupil from the general education school.
University Rector Pavel Moiseev addressed the gathering with welcoming remarks. He noted the deliberate nature of the young people's choices and emphasized the importance of energy and forward momentum in today's world.
"I want to wish our students, their parents, and the entire university staff endless energy. Today, in challenging times, it is our inner strength and drive to move forward that help us overcome any obstacles and stay a step ahead," said Pavel Moiseev.
