All-Russian ski competitions “Khibinsk Race”, one of the first in the coming sports season were held In Kirovsk, Murmansk region. In the 15 km classical style race Nikita Tryakin, the 1st year student majoring in Information Security of the Institute of New Technologies and Artificial Intelligence of Derzhavin University entered the twenty strongest athletes and fulfilled the standard of Master of Sports of Russia.
- This is a great success for the Tambov ski school, a great start to the competition season, - comments Artem Savelyev, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports. - The strongest skiers in the country, participants in the Olympic Games and World Cup stages, ran in the race. The winner was two-time champion of Russia, world champion among juniors, winner of the Winter Universiade in Trentino Ermil Vokuev. Nikita is a graduate of the Morshansk ski school, trains under the guidance of his father, Oleg Yuryevich Tryakin. This is the third master of sports trained since the creation of the ski club in Derzhavin University in 2021. Now Nikita and our other skiers will participate in the All-Russian competitions among students in February 2025.
