An important part of the Tambov Region delegation's visit to the Kyrgyz Republic included meetings with Russian diplomats and heads of Russian missions – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation Sergey Vakunov, Trade Representative Ainur Samanov, and Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office Albert Zulkharneyev.
"It is important to understand the general context and current state of relations between our countries, as well as the challenges facing Russian organizations in Kyrgyzstan," comments Pavel Moiseev. "This position, which reflects the official policy of our state, will decisively shape the approaches and plans of the Tambov Region and Derzhavin University as a public diplomacy university. Therefore, these meetings were very important. They will determine the content of our multifaceted efforts to build relations with our Kyrgyz partners."
At the conclusion of the official—business—part of the day, the rector of Derzhavin University gave an interview to the 24-hour news channel Nomad TV.
"I wasn't just talking about prospects," Pavel Moiseev continues. "I was reflecting on the immediate prospects for our cooperation with universities in the Kyrgyz Republic. I find them very promising. We view the world in many ways similar; in many ways, we have similar historical, cultural, educational, scientific, ideological, and behavioral foundations for our lives and work. We will build mutually beneficial relationships.New meetings and concrete agreements will be reached tomorrow."
