The opening of a biochemistry and pharmacology club for foreign students took place at the Medical Institute. The club is designed to unite students interested in biochemistry and pharmacology to exchange knowledge and experience, as well as to conduct joint scientific research. The scientific activities of the club will be supervised by the head of the Department of Biochemistry and Pharmacology Svetlana Evgenievna Sinyutina.
“Our goal is to support the endeavors of foreign students in every possible way, be it a volunteer, creative or scientific initiative. At the moment, there are already three clubs at the Medical Institute, thanks to which students can develop outside of class. We are pleased to welcome everyone who joined us today, and we hope that this club will become a place where everyone can find new friends, gain new knowledge and share their experiences. We are confident that through joint work, our club will be able to achieve great success and contribute to the development of science as a whole,” welcomed the students Director of the Center for Social Adaptation and Intercultural Communication Irina Solomatina.
On the opening day, club members presented their research projects that they plan to implement in the future, and shared their ideas for the development and expansion of the club’s activities. “I spent a total of 9 years within the walls of the Medical Institute: going from a specialt training program to a residency. Over the years, I have not only gained professional skills, but also met hundreds of caring eyes who are as passionate about their work as I am. This is what motivated me to organize a science club for foreign students, where everyone will have the opportunity to discuss topics of interest and gain additional knowledge,” shares the curator of the club, a student from India, Velmurugan Gazhendran.
