The government of the Tambov region hosted a working meeting between the head of the region, Maxim Egorov, and the head of the Federal Agency for CIS Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation, Evgeny Primakov. During the meeting, issues of participation of the Tambov region in the development of humanitarian projects in areas that are promising for domestic public diplomacy were discussed. Rector of Derzhavin University Pavel Moiseev took part in the meeting. Together with representative offices of Rossotrudnichestvo, Derzhavin University implements projects and events aimed strengthening the position of the Russian language, Russian culture abroad and preserving historical memory and countering Russophobia. Thus, this year, together with the Russian House in Lebanon, the projects “Lines of Russophobia: historical parallels and current state”, “Russian information resources: facts against fakes” will be implemented. A series of events is also planned for Russian language teachers and students of Lebanese schools.
